"Finding FairWays was built to address a gap in access to the game of golf. I've played on the varsity golf team for four years and served as captain, and it's a game I've always loved. I created this program after realizing that many students in our community didn't have the same opportunities in golf that I did. To address that, I built partnerships with our local course, secured grant funding, and organized a structure that allows the program to run consistently. Along the way, we've built bridges within the school district and with local golf courses that didn't exist before. Varsity golf team members serve as mentors, providing basic instruction, equipment support, and supervised course access. My goal was to establish a reliable way for middle school students to experience the game and to help grow a sport I've always valued. Seeing it come together has been rewarding, both for me and for the other mentors involved."
